New Free Newspaper for Gorleston and Yarmouth

Posted on 19 January 2012 by mark

A brand new free newspaper is to be launched in Yarmouth and Gorleston this year, with an initial print run of 50,000 issues.

Following huge successes in the free newspaper market from titles like the Metro, MGMT Media of Great Yarmouth have decided to enter the fray, competing with established free papers including the Yarmouth Advertiser, as well as paid-for papers like the Great Yarmouth Mercury.

It will be delivered to 40,000 homes in the area with an additional 10,000 copies to be distributed from free pickup points around Gorleston and Yarmouth.

Featuring news, reviews, classified ads and local jobs and motors, the Great Yarmouth and will face stiff competition, but Paul Gibbs, the operations director of MGMT told online news site Hold The Front Page “The Gazette will give everyone an opportunity, be it a small or large business, to be able to afford to promote themselves locally.

“It’s about time the local people had a ‘choice’ on where they can place their adverts in print. We have all worked very hard to make sure that we can offer the local people an opportunity to work with us and make The Gazette the paper of choice.”
