Hundreds of children gathered in Gorleston last week to attempt to break the record for the largest number of people simultaneously playing a computer dance game, but sadly the event was 1,000 people shy of the 2,300 entrants required to smash the record.
However, a fun time was had by everyone, and the event, at Ormiston Venture Academy, was only part of a packed day of outdoor entertainment, culminating in a special open air concert and singing contest, which was won by 14 year old Michael Meyers, who performed a rendition of Let Her Go by Passenger.
Ormiston Venture Academy is one of the region’s most innovative schools, and is becoming known for their unique events, as well as for their glowing Ofsted reports.
The combination talent show and record attempt was such a success that plans are afoot for another ‘Venture’s Got Talent’ event for next year. Watch this space for more news!
