Model, pop sensation and Gorleston girl Myleene Klass joined the Prince of Wales this week to open the annual Ideal Home Show.
As well as Myleene and the Prince, celebrities including Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, Suzy Perry and Gregg Wallace turned out to kickstart this year’s show.
The show is a British institution that defines the year’s interior trends and domestic fashions. Everything from wallpaper to hot-tubs is on show, and visitors can take advantage of special on-the-day-discounts.
With the financial crisis affecting many homeowners’ plans for improvement, this year’s show has a special emphasis on beating the inflated high street prices and sniffing out the best deals.
Money saving expert Martin Lewis was on hand to offer some words of advice, telling the EDP: “If you’ve got debts you need to cut them back. Many are consumer and financial illiterate. We’ve never educated them about debt. I wish there was someone who would stand up for education.”
