Christmastime in Gorleston is a truly magical time of year, with (hopefully) a white, snowy blanket covering the town and the beach, creating a winter wonderland. As well as the town’s festive beauty, there are also some great gift-shopping opportunities.
Gorleston’s 2015 Christmas light switch on ceremony will take place at 5pm on Sunday 27th November 2015. The Christmas lights will be switched on at 5pm followed by the grand fireworks display at 6pm. In Priory Gardens there will be an outdoor skating rink, donkey rides and brass band from 11am, while on the High Street, the fun starts from mid-day with rides and entertainment all along the High Street plus bands on stage outside The Feathers public house. Children’s dance groups will be performing on stage all afternoon at the Gorleston Library and you can find Father Christmas in his grotto in Fusion.
We all love to shop locally and show our local businesses that they have our support, but what if you can’t find the gift you want on the high street? Luckily, we’re here with the glad tidings that two local businesses have become online retail superstars, letting you get your hands on fantastic gifts at online prices while still supporting the local economy.
This year, the biggest and most-wanted Christmas gift for kids is a fully-functional kids electric car. These incredible machines feature powerful electric motors, giving kids the full driving experience in complete safety. Thankfully, East Anglian site Kids Electric Cars have established themselves as the premier source for these incredible gifts, so you can get your hands on a childs’ electric car while still supporting the local economy!
