While Gorleston is mainly known for the beach there are some great public parks that are well worth taking a look around
When staying in Gorleston it is understandable that the first place people want to explore is the beach. However there are some great places to go away from the sand that are equally fun for all ages.
The recreation area is large enough to walk around so if you want to it’s perfect if you need to give your dog some exercise or simply want to wander for yourself, taking in the sights and sounds of the local area.
If you have kids and you want them to get out and some fresh air the playground has all the facilities they need (plus it’s easy enough to keep your distance while at the same time being able to keep an eye on them). However older kids won’t feel left out- with a BMX/skateboard park and football pitches there is plenty of places for them to enjoy their time outdoors too!
Another great place for playing facilities is Beacon Park- with a skate park, play equipment and a hard standing court this is ideal for a wide range of people who want to get out and about.
Gorleston is a great place to look around, see some fantastic views and there are numerous holiday parks and facilities. However it is worth remembering that beyond the beach are some fantastic places to look around, explore and take advantage of all they have to offer.
