Easter is upon us once more, but this ancient festival is about so much more than chocolate eggs. It’s a chance for the family to come together and share some wonderful experiences. With this in mind, we’ve put together this guide to the best of what’s on in Gorleston this easter weekend.
There are a range of events going on. For example on Good Friday Rockin TJ (Lead singer of TJ and The Switchblades) will be doing hits from the 50s and 60s at Gorleston Social Club. On the Saturday the Dust Bowl Blues Band will be at the Ferryboat Inn giving their take on blues and rock.
While we’re all hoping for warm weather this Easter the cold won’t bother the kids (and let’s face it some adults!) coming to the Frozen Tribute on Easter Monday on 6th April (11am, book early to avoid disappointment.) With a short film coming to cinemas, appearances of the characters in TV series Once Upon A Time and a rumoured sequel once again it looks like this is one phenomenon that won’t be letting go anytime soon!
However the events don’t stop on the weekend- on Thursday 9th April the Pavilion Theatre celebrates 70 years of the end of World War 2 with Bless ‘Em All- an event of sketches and songs by a group of 6 to 18 year olds, promising an interesting show that should prove entertaining as well as educating people about an important part of our history.
