. After 2015 marked one of the busiest summers in recent history, the stage is set for 2016 to be an even bigger year for the region’s leisure and tourism industries.
It’s been a big summer for Norfolk, with a succession of heatwaves driving recordbreaking seasons at visitor attractions, theatres, restaurants and shops countywide (the county’s tourism industry is seeing the sunny side of life).
At Love Gorleston, we’ve seen unprecedented numbers of visitors to our site in 2015, with our Gorleston free parking guides, Gorleston celebrity walks and Gorleston holiday accommodation proving especially popular.
Norfolk’s tourist attractions have also welcomed the influx of visitors. Martin Dupee, operations director of the Dinosaur Adventure, Banham Zoo and Africa Alive, told the North Norfolk News: ‘We are heading for a record year at Dinosaur Adventure with more than 200,000 visitors now being projected and, following lean years, both zoos are back well up to where they should be.’
In recent years Norfolk has also seen some of the sunniest summers on record, which has led to thousands of families heading east to Gorleston for a weekend of good old British seaside fun in the sun.
